Zac’s Club Riccall

Zac’s Club Riccall opened in September 2017, and gathered pace rapidly from day 1.  We extended our service early on from 3 afternoons a week to now offering full sessions Monday to Friday. Breakfast club runs from 7.30-9.00am every morning, and After School Club runs from school finish to 6.00pm each afternoon.  We also open for Holiday Club on selected days during the holidays from 8.00am until 6.00pm, more details can be found on the ‘Holiday Club’ page. Sessions are currently operated in the School Hall.

The team at Riccall is headed up by Manager Lauren was our Acting Manager at Zac’s Club Riccall for sick Cover in January 2023.  Having gained further experience as a Manager in a private early years setting within a school, and supporting them towards a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating Lauren returned to us as Manager at Zac’s Club Riccall.

Lauren works with Andrew who is the operations Manager, India who is deputy manager, Holly, Linda, hazel, Rhianna, Jen, Claire, Elizabeth, Rebecca, and Level 3 Apprentice Abbie.  Many of staff teamwork across the two settings, and full details of their accomplishments and qualifications can be found on the ‘Meet the Team’ page of the website.

All of our staff have been trained in Safeguarding, Prevent, Food Safety, and Paediatric First Aid to level 2 which is renewed every 3 years.  Additional training and measures have been taken in response to the Covid 19 outbreak, and the risk assessment accessed through this page is regularly updated to reflect the latest government guidelines.

Zac’s Club Riccall had their first Ofsted inspection in June 2019, and were rated ‘Good’.  This was a great achievement, and the team were particularly praised for their support of the Early Years Curriculum in following on from learning in school into the activities in the setting.  The full report can be accessed here: https://reports.ofsted.gov.uk/provider/16/EY548959
