Our Holiday Club at Zac’s Club, Riccall opened in February 2019, and operates three day each week during each of the school holidays (We just close the week between Christmas and New Year). Many of our parents have been requesting this facility for some time, and the Holiday Club is open to children from all Primary Schools, not just Riccall. We do give priority to children who already attend Zac’s Club at Riccall and Escrick, however we do have enough places to accept other children too, and have been delighted to welcome children from Cawood, Stillingfleet, Kelfield, Cliffe and beyond.
The Holiday Club is managed by Hannah Jaskowski who is our Manager of Zac’s Club, Riccall, and she loves working with all the children so much, she wants to come back for more during the holidays! Hannah has an established background of running childcare settings, and is very well qualified for the role, having gained not only a degree qualification in childcare, but also Early Years Teacher Status. She is ably assisted by the staff teams at both Zac’s Club Riccall, and Escrick who provide a fabulous service. All of our staff hold a current Paediatric First Aid certificate, and are dedicated to a career in childcare. 5 out of our 7 strong team are qualified to at least Level 3 in childcare, and those who do not have this gold standard qualification, are currently working towards it.
We have established a great relationship with Riccall school, and work to complement the curriculum that they work to in providing a home from home atmosphere, an opportunity to learn and have fun, and also relax. During the holidays we want to continue the fun and excitement and offer days that give children much to talk about when they get home, and parents and carers the reassurance that their children are not missing out whilst they are at work, as well as a safe and caring environment.
Our resources include pool and football tables, a large collection of Lego, Board Games, Den Building equipment, Bats and balls, Craft materials, hex bugs, iPad, dressing up and much more.We always welcome suggestions of favourite things to play with, and continue to extend our offering. We also make great use of the outdoors, having the use of the school grounds, and use of the school pool, but also plan trips out in the village and to Hagges Wood in the minibus, depending on the size of group.
Open from 8.00am until 5.30pm (£30 a day – £35 on swim days during the summer holidays), we have the option of either the full day, or a short day 9.00am – 4.30pm (£25 a day – £30 on swim days during the summer holidays) depending on what you need. Registering for the club is free, and bookings are made online. You will receive an email confirmation/invoice as soon as you make the booking which must be paid within 7 days of receipt. Once booked, we are not able to offer cancellations or swap sessions. Bookings for Holiday Club open at least one month in advance of the school holidays, but you can email firstname.lastname@example.org before bookings open to express an interest, and you will be sent the link as soon as bookings open as it’s first come, first served. Children just need to bring suitable clothing, and a hat and suncream in the summer, along with their packed lunch. Snacks and drinks during the day, however, are provided.
